French Government held accountable for climate inaction

The Paris Climate Agreement signed in 2015, by nearly every nation in the world dictated that strong action would be taken to limit the effects of climate change in effort to keep the World from warming a by certain temperatures.

France said they’d make significant action by 2030 and they have not been on the right path, so Environmental Nonprofit organizations sued them.

The Government lost.

Ultimately it indicates that France is not living up to their expectations set by the agreement, as seen through a legal lens.
Hopefully this suit will cause significant government action to be taken and inspire a trend around the globe.

The US Government, who recently re-joined the Paris Agreement, has appeared to take steps towards mitigating climate action.

Their seems to be action following the momentum.
